11.14 Using the headset
A headset with PTT function (included in delivery) can be connected to the walkie-
talkie. Only use the appropriate headset which is offered as an accessory.
Switch off the walkie-talkie before connecting the headset.
Connect the plugs of the headset to the "PTT/charger socket" (2) and the
"SPK/MIC" socket (1).
The plug for the headset must be a 2.5 mm jack plug while the plug for the PTT
function must be a 3.5 mm jack plug.
After connecting the headset and switching on the walkie-talkie, increase the vol-
ume on the walkie-talkie slowly to prevent damage to your hearing or the earphones
if the volume is too high.
To transmit, press the "PTT" button on the headset. Let go of the PTT button to
switch to receive mode.
