• Keep away the device from explosive surroundings such as
filling stations, storerooms for chemicals etc. A single spark
generated during battery replacement or by the emitted radia-
tion can trigger an explosion in such surroundings.
• Always switch off your walkie-talkie if there are warnings
prohibiting the use of wireless phones or walkie-talkies.
• The device is not suitable for use in highly sensitive sur-
roundings where health or life depend on the use of the device.
• The device must not be operated with a damaged aerial. A
damaged aerial can cause light skin burns if touched.
• Inattentiveness in traffic can lead to serious accidents. There-
fore, only operate the device if the traffic situation permits this
and if you are not distracted from traffic when operating it.
• In commercial facilities, the regulations for the prevention of
accidents as laid down by the professional trade association for
electrical equipment and devices must be observed.
• The device must not be subjected to any structural changes,
i.e. the aerial attached to the device must be used. No attempts
must be made to increase the transmission power. The device
will otherwise lose its licence and the general permission for
operation. In addition, technical modifications can lead to the
destruction of electronic components. Balancing positions
inside the device may on no account be modified. The manu-
facturer has already aligned the components optimally.
