11.1 Notes on the range
The range of your walkie-talkie greatly depends on ambient conditions. Maximum
range is 3 km on a flat and open terrain. Small hillocks, trees, etc. in the transmis-
sion path reduce the range to an average. The range is lowest, if extremely leafy
trees, mountains, electric sources of interference etc. are in the transmission path.
Keep a minimum distance of 2 m between the two walkie-talkies two prevent them
from interfering with each other.
11.2 Switching on/off the device and setting the volume
Use the "ON/OFF/Volume" control (7) to switch your walkie-talkie on/off and to set
the volume.
Turn the control towards "Max" to increase the volume. Turn the control towards
"Vol" to decrease the volume.
The "OFF" position is confirmed by a click sound and the display goes out.
11.3 Setting radio channel and sub-channel
a) Setting the radio channel
• Switch on the walkie-talkie.
• Press the "S" button or the "F" until "Ch" is displayed and
press the "Enter" button. The number of the current
radiochannel displayed.
• Press buttons "S" or "F" to select the desired radio channel.
• Press the "Enter" button to confirm and save the settings.
