Starting Up

4.1

Safety notes

Caution: It is essential to read the General Information at the beginning of this
manual before starting up.
4.2

Checking the package contents

The package contains:
a base station
two handsets
two power cables
a charging station
4.3

Connecting the base station

Position the base station within reach of the telephone line socket and a power outlet.
1. Plug the connector at one end of the power cable in the socket marked
on the underside of the base station and the power adapter plug in a properly
installed 230 Volt mains power outlet. The power adapter plug from the base
station must remain connected at all times. For safety reasons, only use the
power adapter plug supplied.
Note: Access to the power adapter plug must not be blocked by furniture or other
obstacles.
2. Connect the telephone connection cable enclosed to the telephone line socket
and the telephone socket marked
Only use the telephone connection cable supplied.
4.4

Connecting the charging station

Place the charging station for the second handset in the vicinity of a power outlet. Plug the
power adapter plug in a properly installed 230 Volt power outlet.
Note: Access to the power adapter plug must not be blocked by furniture or other
obstacles.
