4 Flash unit LED displays

4.1 Flash readiness display

The button

the flash capacitor is loaded to show the
flash is ready.
TTL
This means that the flash can be used for
the next shot. Flash readiness is relayed to
the camera where a corresponding mes-
sage appears in the viewfinder.
If the photo is taken before the flash readi-
ness message appears in the camera
viewfinder, the flash unit will not be trigge-
red and your photo maybe be incorrectly
lit in the event that the camera has already
activated flash sync control (see 10).

4.2 Correct exposure display

When the shot is correctly lit in TTL opera-

ting modes, the correct exposure is dis-
played by means of the button

lighting up red for 3 seconds.
If there is no correct exposure message
after the shot, it was underexposed and
you must select the next smallest f-stop
(e.g. f-stop 8 instead of 11) or decrease
the distance to the subject or reflective sur-
face (e.g. for bouncing flash) and take the
shot again.
