Safety information concerning the combustion engine

Read the operating instructions of the engine manufac-
turer before start-up and follow the safety instructions
carefully.
DANGER
Risk of fire and explosion!
Only use the fuels specified in the operating instruc-
tions. Risk of explosion due to the use of inappropriate
fuels. Refer to Chapter "Technical data".
When refuelling, ensure that no fuel reaches hot surfac-
es.
DANGER
Risk of poisoning!
Ensure that there is adequate ventilation or discharge
of the exhaust gases when operating the vehicle in-
doors.
Exhaust gases are poisonous and hazardous to health,
do not inhale them.

Safety information concerning the transport of the vehicle

The motor must be shut down and the vehicle must be
securely fastened on the lashing points during trans-
port.
3.8

Safety information concerning maintenance and care

Switch off the vehicle and, if necessary, remove the ig-
nition key prior to performing any cleaning or mainte-
nance tasks on the vehicle, replacing parts or switching
over to another function.
Maintenance work may only be carried out by approved
customer service outlets or experts in this field who are
familiar with the respective safety regulations.
3.9

Safety Devices

This vehicle is equipped with several safety systems. Park-
ing brake, driver seat and hydraulic lever are equipped
with a safety switch.
DANGER
Safety installations serve the protection of the user and
may not be modified or bypassed.
3.9.1
Main switch
The main switch interrupts the electrical supply line to the
starter. This should always be switched off when the vehi-
cle is parked (position 0).
3.9.2
Startup block
In order to start the engine:
the main switch must be switched on (position I).
the driver must be seated on the seat.
the brake pedal must be pressed.
DANGER
Risk of injury!
The exhaust gas opening of the combustion engine
must not be closed.
The engine requires approx. 5 seconds to come to a
standstill once it has been switched off. During this
time, stay well clear of the working area.
Risk of injury due to unprotected fan wheel.
DANGER
Risk of burns!
Do not touch hot combustion engine.
Allow the vehicle to cool down before removing the
panels.
Do not bend over the exhaust or touch it.
The exhaust gas opening of the combustion engine
must not be closed.
DANGER
Scalding danger!
Never open the lid on the cooler while the motor has op-
erating temperature. The container is under pressure.
Refer to Chapter "Transport".
Observe the safety inspection pursuant to the applica-
ble local provisions for mobile vehicles used for com-
mercial purposes.
Articulated joint, seals, electric and electronic compo-
nents must not be cleaned by means of a high-pressure
cleaner or a water hose.
3.9.3
Seat contact switch
The motor shuts off:
if the weight is taken off the driver seat and the travel
direction switch is not set to neutral.
if the weight is taken off the driver seat and the PTO is
switched on.
