In schools and training centers, the handling of the Thermometer
with Timer must be supervised by teaching staff!
If the Thermometer with Timer remains unused for a longer period,
it is necessary to remove the battery from the battery compartment
to avoid the risk of leak!
Replacing batteries
Batteries should be kept away from children!
Batteries are hazardous waste and cannot be dis-
posed of in your domestic waste! Empty batteries
can be disposed of as laid down by regulations in
the special collection bins available at electrical
goods dealers!
When fitting batteries, make sure that they are the
right way round (polarity)!
Never leave batteries lying around. There is a risk
that of swallowing by children or pets. If swallowed,
immediately call for medical assistance!
If leaky or damaged batteries come into contact
with the skin, this may lead to the skin being
attacked. Therefore, always use appropriate protec-
tive gloves in this situation!
Make sure that batteries are not shorted, thrown in-
to naked flames or recharged! These situations
constitute a risk of explosion!
The Thermometer with Timer is operated via a microcell battery. We
recommend using alkaline batteries! The battery is empty or nearly
empty when the digits in the display become fainter or you are una-
ble to read the numbers displayed.

1. Connect the measurement probe (jack plug) to the jack socket,
located left on the housing!
2. Switch the Thermometer on!
3. To set the temperature you require for your measurement, use
the buttons UP and DOWN. (Temperature range 0° C - 200° C /
32° F - 392° F.) When the temperature set is captured by the
measurement probe, there is an acoustic alert signal (but only if
you have set the slide switch ALERT to the ON position. You can
disable the alert by switching the slider switch to the OFF positi-
