Fig 5
Install the abrasive belt (J), pay
attention to the running direction.
Push the steel balls (S) to tighten the
belt.

Attach the belt guard (Q) with 2
screws (P).
Belt tracking adjustment:
Use the belt tracking knob (B) to track
the belt.
Push the belt by hand in the running
direction.
Track the belt until it runs in the
middle of the wheels.
Mounting the working table:
There are holes (R, Fig 7) on the
grinding arm to attach the working
table (I).
Fig 7
The working table is tiltable.
It can be attached in 4 positions 45°,
60°, 75° and 90°.
Adjust the working table to within
2mm of the abrasive belt (Fig 8)

Mount the bench grinder:
To prevent the grinder from moving
during operation, it must be securely
mounted to a work bench or stand.

5.3 Mains connection

Mains connection and any extension
cords used must comply with
applicable regulations.
The mains voltage must comply with
the information on the machine
licence plate.
The mains connection must have a
10A surge-proof fuse.
Only use power cords marked
H07RN-F
6
Connections and repairs to the
electrical equipment may only be
carried out by qualified electricians.

5.4 Dust connection

The unit must be connected to a
suitable dust collector.
Flexible hoses must be of "non-
flammable" quality, and must be
connected to the machine ground
system.

5.5 Starting operation

You can start the machine with the
green ON-button.
The red OFF-button on the main
switch stops the machine.
The proper belt tracking must be
observed (in case of adjustment
need, see chapter 7.5).
6. Machine operation
The belt and wheel grinder is
designed for grinding metal materials
only without use of water.
Hold and guide the workpiece safely
during machining.
Do not perform any operation
freehand; always have the workpiece
supported by the tool rest and/or to
the working table.
Apply a moderate pressure on the
workpiece and keep it moving for
smooth grinding.
Pressing too hard overheats the
motor and prematurely wears down
the abrasives.
Keep a tray filled with water and dip
your workpiece regularly to prevent
overheating.
Overheating can weaken metals.
When the wheel becomes loaded of
debris, use an approved grinding
wheel dresser and dress the wheel.
Tool sharpening:
Note the original bevel angle on the
item to be sharpened and try to
maintain the same shape.
The grinding wheel should rotate into
the object being sharpened.
Grinding arm tilt:
Loosen the screw (N, Fig 9) and tilt
the grinding arm as desired.
