BASIC OPERATION
Switching On/Off

Switch on the DJS-2000 with the rear power
button.
• After a short initialization process (indication
„Hello DJ") the unit will automatically detect if
a USB device is inserted in USB port 1
(indication "Connecting").
• If a USB device is inserted, the display will
indicate information concerning the first title
after the read-in.
• If no USB device is inserted "Please insert
memory device" will be displayed.

Prior to switching the unit off, always
terminate the playback with the button [►II].
Selecting the Signal Source
After switching on, the USB port USB 1 is always
selected as the signal source. Press the selector
switch SOURCE to switch to a different signal
source. Short actuation allows switching between
the two USB ports USB 1 and 2 as well as the CD
drive. Long actuation switches to MIDI mode.
• The unit must be in pause mode.
• The LEDs will verify which source is active.
Loading USB Devices

For the use of USB devices, USB port 1 is
provided at the front and USB port 2 at the
rear panel. Insert USB devices here.
• First, the display indicates "Connecting" and
after the read-in (indication "Reading8"), the
total number of titles and folders will shortly
be indicated. Then information concerning
the first title will follow.
• If a data carrier is not recognized at the first
try, remove it and insert it again.

To remove a USB device, disconnect it from
the USB port.
• Prior to removing a USB device, set the unit
to pause. Otherwise damage or loss of data
may occur.
Inserting a CD

Insert the CD with the lettering facing
upwards into the slot until it is retracted
automatically.
• The display will show "Close".
• After the read-in (indication "Reading8"), the
total number of titles and folders will shortly
be indicated. Then information concerning
the first title will follow.

Press the button [ ] to eject the CD.
• The display will show "Eject".

For browsing the titles, turn the press control
TRACK [
• Title number and title name (MP3 files only)
are indicated in the display.
• If you keep the control pressed while turning
it at the same time, you can jump 10 titles
forward or backward.

For browsing the folders, turn the button
FOLDER [
].
• The folder number and name are indicated in
the display.
• If you keep the control pressed while turning
it at the same time, you can jump 10 folders
forward or backward.
