OPERATING DETERMINATIONS
The DJS-2000 has been specially designed for DJ applications. The unit features many functions that
precisely meet the requirements of DJs, e.g. adjustable pitch, cueing, seamless playback of a continuous
loop, single title play, convenient search via jogdial and various scratch and effect functions. The built-in
digital effect processor allows for producing three different effects and BPM counting. The detected BPM
values are the basis for beat-synchronized playback of the effects and automatic loops. The player offers
four storage banks for hot cue points and hot loops which can also be played as samples. The internal
memory stores up to 2000 hot cue points. The unit plays audio CDs/-Rs/-RWs (CD-DA) as well as CDs and
USB memory devices with titles in the MP3 format. The unit is provided with a 10-second anti-shock memory
which is able to compensate shocks or vibrations.
For convenient music search on the DJS-2000 the PC program Database Builder is available for download.
This program analyzes USB storage media and creates database files in order for the DJS-2000 to search
for criteria such as title or artist.
The player can provide the operating information of the buttons and controls in universal MIDI format and
may thus be used for controlling MIDI-compatible DJ software on a computer.
Power
The controller is only allowed to be operated with an
alternating current of 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz and was
designed for indoor use only.

shocks. When using smoke machines, make sure that
the device is never exposed to the direct smoke jet and
is installed in a distance of 0.5 meters between smoke
machine and device. The ambient temperature must
always be between -5° C and +45° C. Keep away from
direct insulation (particularly in cars) and heaters. The
relative humidity must not exceed 50 % with an ambient
temperature of 45° C. This device must only be
operated in an altitude between -20 and 2000 m over
NN. The ambient contamination must never exceed
level 1 and must not be conducting, only dry. Never use
the device during thunderstorms. Over voltage could
destroy the device. Always disconnect the device
during thunderstorms.
