1 Button [ ]
To eject the CD. While playing a CD, the slot
is locked against unintentional ejection.
2 USB port 1
Front USB port (type A) for connecting a
USB storage device.
3 Button SOURCE
Short actuation switches between the data
carriers CD, USB 1 and USB 2. Keep the
button pressed for 2 seconds to switch to
MIDI mode for operation with a computer.
The LEDs will verify which source is source
is selected. After switching on, USB 1 is
selected as the source.
4 Control START
For adjusting the starting time (0 to 10
seconds) when playback is started with the
button [►II] or when the jogdial is used.
5 Control BRAKE
For adjusting the braking time (0 to 10
seconds) when playback is paused with the
button [►II] or when the jogdial is used.
6 Button KEY LOCK with LED
Short actuation activates/deactivates the
master tempo function. With the function
activated, the display indicates
tonal pitch of the title remains constant when
the speed is changed with the pitch slide
control.
7 Button TEMPO RANGE with LEDs
• Short actuation selects the pitch adjustment
range: 6 %, 10 %, 16 %, and 100 %
(indicated by the LEDs above the button).
• Long actuation deactivates the pitch slide
control (LED off).
8 Button JOGMODE with LEDs
Determines the operating mode of the jog
dial. The LEDs below to the button indicate
which mode is selected:
• VINYL: To create scratch effect during
playback.
• PITCH BEND: In play mode for the function
Pitch Bend and in pause mode for
precisely selecting a certain spot.
• AUTO CUE SCRATCH: For return and
immediate start of the playback from the
cue point and for momentarily playing the
title in pause mode.
9 Pitch slide control
This slide control sets the playback speed
(without changing the pitch when the button
[ ] KEY LOCK is pressed. Slide it up to
decrease the pitch, slide it down to increase
the pitch. The pitch percentage is indicated in
the display.

During playback, the function Pitch Bend
creates a temporary change of speed. The
pitch can be adjusted in the system settings
between 1 % and 100 %.
If the automatic beat counter is not able to
determine the number of beats per minute
