Examples and recommendations for time lapse mode
Example 1:
Time lapse mode has been programmed with a start time of 7:00 am and an end time of 8:30
pm with a time-out period of 3 minutes and multi-shot of 3 images. This means that the camera
shoots 3 images every 3 minutes between 7:00 am and 8:30 pm.
Example 2:
Time lapse mode has been programmed with a start time of 00:00 and an end time of 00:00 with
a time-out period of 5 minutes and multi-shot of 3 images. This means that the camera shoots
3 images every 5 minutes throughout the day.
To ensure a long battery life and many still images, the following is highly
recommended:
Batteries: Use high-quality alkaline batteries (type C)
Image resolution: 5 MP (1 star), time-out period: 30 or 60 seconds

13. Setting up the camera for field trips

You may use your camera outdoors or on field trips once you have set up all its programming
settings. Here are some useful tips.
• Mount the camera at a height of approximately 1.5 to 2 m. The camera should point slightly
downwards. The battery compartment cover must point upwards.
• Mount the camera facing north or south. If possible, the camera should not face east or west
as the rising and setting of the sun may inadvertently trigger it and result in overexposed
images.
