Maintenance work on the wheel sets, gears and coupling
norm shaft:
Turn the locomotive over, so that wheels and coupling plate are
facing upwards. With models with alternating current, loosen the
screw (54) of the sliding contact (53) and remove the sliding
contact. Unscrew the screws (52). Remove the lower gear cover
(51) and the wheelsets (48, 65) respectively the coupler pockets
(08).
In order to reach the upper coupling, the body, engine and coupling
cover top have to be taken apart, see item 2 and 4.

5. Beleuchtungseinrichtung (Fig. 4)

Diese Lokomotive ist mit wartungsfreien Leuchtdioden ausgestat-
tet. Bei einem eventuellen Defekt der Leuchtdioden wenden Sie
sich bitte an Ihren Fachhändler oder den Hersteller.
5. Light fittings (Fig. 4)
This locomotive is fitted with maintenance-free light-emitting
diodes. If a defect occurs in the light-emitting diodes, please
contact your specialist dealer or the manufacturer.
6. Schleifer tauschen bei Wechselstrom-
Ausführung AC (Fig. 4)
Befestigungsschraube (54) herausdrehen, Schleifer (53)
abnehmen.

alternating current version AC (Fig. 4)
Unscrew the fastening screw (10). Remove the sliding contact (11).
7. Digitaldecoder tauschen (Fig. 4)
Dach (02) nach oben abnehmen.
Digitaldecoder (16) abziehen und neuen einstecken.
7. Excanging the digital decoder (Fig. 4)
Remove the roof (02) upwards.
Take out the digital decoder (17) and insert a new one.
8. Haftreifen tauschen (Fig. 4)
Getriebeabdeckung unten (51) demontieren, siehe Punkt 4.
Radsatz (48) entnehmen und Haftreifen (49) tauschen.
8. Replace the traction tyres (Fig. 4)
Dismantle the lower gear cover (51), see item 4.
Remove the wheelset (48) and change the traction tire (49).
