Insert the key into the lock cylinder, unlock the lock and turn the key to neutral
position (where it can be pulled out). Guide the door lock drive over the key; push
it completely onto the base fastener. Fasten the door lock drive with the two Allen
screws (M3 * 14 mm) that were screwed out in the beginning of the procedure.
Screw the Allen screws in completely using the supplied Allen key; careful not to
turn too tight.
Tighten the screws "hand-tight" only, since otherwise the drive can be tilted,
which could cause faulty functionality (such as e.g.: opening the door from
the outside with the key becomes difficult).
Open the door. This is required so that the door lock drive can detect the end stop of
the lock without any hindrance during the following initialization action.

Installing and changing batteries

Unlatch the battery compartment cover on the right-hand side of the lock drive and
remove it. Take the used batteries out if necessary. Insert three (new) batteries (LR6/
Mignon/AA/LR6), ensuring proper polarity, in the battery compartment. Put the bat-
tery compartment cover back and latch it in place.
During the initial start up, the door lock drive starts by requesting the basic
settings after inserting the batteries.
These basic settings are absolutely necessary for the initial start up so that
the door lock drive will operate correctly. Perform all set up work correctly and care-
fully so that proper functionality is guaranteed.
The basic settings do not have be performed again either if the door lock drive is to
be replaced or another door is installed.
Remove or change used batteries immediately to prevent the batteries from
going completely dead.
When battery power is low, the LC display shows a flashing battery symbol
( ) . The device will also emit three warning tones after every basic
function actuated.
Change the batteries. The settings will not be lost.
