Read these instructions carefully before beginning operation with your HomeMatic
components.
Keep the instructions handy for later consultation! Please hand-over the operating
manual as well when you hand-over the device to other persons for use.

2 Hazard information
KeyMatic is a technical system that can fail for various reasons. Therefore,
the following information should be observed when using the device:
• Use only lock cylinders with emergency and hazard functionality (double cy-
linder), which can be locked and unlocked from the outside using a second
key whether or not a key is inserted on the inside.
• Always carry the key for the respective lock with you or store it in a safe
location in case of a fault.
eQ-3 AG is liable for the KeyMatic system itself within the scope of product liability
but not for damage in operation, e.g. calling the locksmith or other work
This device is to be operated indoors only and keep away from the influences of
humidity, dust and sunshine or other radiating heat sources.
3 Function
3.1 Short overview
The KeyMatic radio door lock drive is for motor-driven locking and unlocking of
cylinder locks in doors. This requires that the key in the lock cylinder of the door
lock is turned by a motor drive attached to the lock cylinder so that the door locking
and unlocking mechanism moves the same as when locking with a key.
Locking and unlocking can be done from inside or outside via radio signal (868.3
MHz). You can operate the drive from inside with a button located on the drive or a
handle, which can be turned in emergency situations.
