Registering a handset on a GAP telecommunications system or on
a GAP base station
Proceed as follows when registering the handset on a GAP system:
One-time registering on a GAP system (Log in)
Register your handset on every GAP system you intend to use.
Menu > Setup > System settings > Log in. Then select a system (1 to
10) from the list. Enter PARK. Enter AC. You will find these numbers
(PARK and AC) in the documentation coming with your GAP system.
Edit system name
Assign a meaningful system name to the system you just registered to
in order to make a meaningful difference between several registered
systems. The system name will be read in the first text line of idle dis-
play.
Menu > Setup > System settings > Edit system name. Then enter the
new system name.
Select one of the registered systems to be used for actual operation
According to your needs and to availability, select one of the registered
systems to be used for actual operation.
Menu > Setup > System settings > Select system. Then select the
system to be used from the list. Confirm your choice by [OK].
ATTENTION
A handset cannot be registered to a new GAP installation while
any position alarm is activated.
That is why you have to switch off (disable) the position alarm prior to
log in your handset to a new GAP installation!
If the feature „position alarm" is to be used with at least one of the sys-
tems your handset is registered to, you have to setup a position alarm
for every of these systems.
