19. The appliance may be used by children 8 years or older and by persons with reduced physical or mental
capabilities, if they are under supervision or if they have been instructed in the use of the appliance in
a safe manner and understand the potential risks. Children must not play with the appliance. Children
must not carry our cleaning and maintenance of the appliance, unless they are 8 years or older and
under supervision. Children younger than 8 years have to be kept away from the appliance and its power
supply.

USE
1. Remove all packaging before first use. Make sure that the children do not play with the packaging
material. Danger of suffocation!
2. Assemble the grill with the help of the picture.
3. Place the grill on a firm, flat surface to ensure stability and enough space around the grill. Make sure that
the grease collection container is well placed.
4. Before you insert or remove the thermostat with the temperature control, make sure that it is set to
0 (off), that it is well in place and in upward direction.
5. Use only a thermostat with temperature control, which was supplied with the appliance or bought at an
authorized service center and only on bases designed for this purpose.
6. Before first use, wipe the grilling area with wet cloth and a small amount of dishwashing liquid, rinse
thoroughly with water and wipe clean, or allow it to dry and then rub the grilling area with a little of
cooking oil/fat.
7. An orange indicator will light up immediately after you plug the appliance in an outlet. It will turn off
once it is disconnected. Set the desired temperature level by turning the temperature control "1–5". The
light indicator will switch off after reaching the desired temperature. The light indicator will switch on or
off during grilling depending on maintaining the temperature of the grill. Do not touch the grilling plate
during operation, it is hot! Be especially careful that children do not touch the plate!
Note: The first use of the appliance may accompanied by slight odour or smoke. The odour can be caused by
lubricants that became stuck to the heating unit during production and are now burning. Therefore,
we recommend warming up the grill for 10 minutes without placing any food onto it (make sure to
provide sufficient ventilation during this interval).
8. After heating the grill to desired temperature level, place the food on the grilling plate. You will cook the
food more thoroughly if you turn it frequently. Never cut food on the grilling surface.
