11 Working instructions
11.1
Serial cuts (Fig. 12)
For repeated cuts of the same length, the longitudinal
stop  (11b) can be opened. You can use the longitudinal
stop (11b) on the right and on the left.
1. Fold up the longitudinal stop (11b).
2. Loosen the locking screw (11a) for the workpiece sup-
port (11).
3. Pull out the workpiece support (11).
4. Set the required dimension between saw blade  (5)
and longitudinal stop (11b).
5. Re-tighten the locking screw  (11a) for the workpiece
support (11).
6. Carry out the cuts as described in 11.3, 11.4, 11.5 and
11.6.
11.2
Sawing techniques (Fig. 11, 13)
For cutting widths up to 100 mm with fixed pull
guide (14)
1. Push the saw head (2) backwards as far as it will go.
2. Secure the saw's sliding function in the rear position
using the locking screw (14a).
3. Switch the product on as described in 10.7.
4. Move the saw head (2) with the handle (1) evenly and
with light pressure downwards until the saw blade (5)
has cut through the workpiece.
5. Once you have finished sawing, return the saw
head  (2) to its resting position and release the on/off
switch (1a).
For cutting widths over 100 mm with loose pull guide
(14)
1. Release the sliding function of the saw by loosening
the locking screw (14a).
2. Pull the saw head (2) upwards as far as it will go.
3. Switch the product on as described in 10.7.
4. Lower the handle (1) evenly and with light pressure.
5. Slowly and evenly push the saw head  (2) backwards
until the saw blade (5) has completely cut through the
workpiece.
6. Once you have finished sawing, return the saw
head  (2) to its resting position and release the on/off
switch (1a).
11.3
Chop cut 90° and rotary table 0°
(Fig. 14)
The product can be used to make precise cuts at a 90°
angle.
ATTENTION
The sliding stop rail must be fixed correctly.
Setting:
1. Loosen the locking screws (7a) on the moveable stop
rails  (7) and push the moveable stop rails  (7) out-
wards.
2. Put the saw head (2) in its resting position.
32 | GB
3. Secure the rotary table (9) in the 0° position as de-
scribed in 10.2.
4. Ensure that the saw head  (2) is set to a 0° angle. If
necessary, adjust the tilt as described in 10.3.
5. Lower the saw head  (2) and slide the movable stop
rails  (7) inwards until the distance between the mov-
able stop rail (7) and the saw blade (5) is a maximum
of 8 mm on both sides.
6. Tighten the locking screws (7a) again.
7. Before making the cut, check that no collision could
occur between the moveable stop rail (7) and the saw
blade (5).
Sawing process:
1. Place the workpiece to be cut against the stop rail (6)
and on the rotary table (9).
2. Secure the workpiece with the clamping device (12)
as described in 10.4.
3. Depending on the width of the workpiece, decide
whether to work with or without the sliding function
and proceed as described in 11.2.
ATTENTION
The return spring automatically raises the product. Do
not release the handle after finishing cutting but allow
the saw head to move upwards slowly and with a little
counterpressure.
11.4
90° chop cut and rotary table
0°- 45° (Fig. 15)
The cross-cut mitre saw can be used for angled cuts of
0°- 45° to the left and right.
ATTENTION
The sliding stop rail must be fixed correctly.
1. Loosen the locking screws (7a) on the moveable stop
rails  (7) and push the moveable stop rails  (7) out-
wards
2. Put the saw head (2) in its resting position.
3. Set the desired angle on the rotary table  (9) as de-
scribed in 10.2.
6. Tighten the locking screw (7a) again.
7. Before making the cut, check that no collision could
occur between the moveable stop rail (7) and the saw
blade (5).
8. Perform the sawing operation as described in 11.3.
11.5
0°- 45° mitre cut and rotary table 0°
(Fig. 16, 17)
Mitre cuts of 0° - 45° to the working surface can be car-
ried out to the left using the saw.
