8. Unpacking

m DANGER
The product and the packaging material are not
children's toys! Do not let children play with plas-
tic bags, films or small parts! There is a danger of
choking or suffocating!
• Remove the packaging material, as well as the pack-
aging and transport safety devices (if present).
• Check whether the scope of delivery is complete.
• Check the product and accessory parts for transport
damage. In the event of complaints the carrier must
be informed immediately. Later claims will not be
recognised.
• If possible, keep the packaging until the expiry of the
warranty period.
• Familiarise yourself with the product by means of the
operating instructions before using for the first time.
• With accessories as well as wearing parts and re-
placement parts use only original parts. Spare parts
can be obtained from your specialist dealer.
• When ordering please provide our article number as
well as type and year of manufacture for the product.

Assembly

m ATTENTION!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
9.1
Swivel frame (4) (Fig. 4-8)
1.
Position the protective guard, right (4a) on the out-
er side of the fastening and the saw blade guard
1 (4c) on the inner side of the fastening. (Fig. 4-5)
2.
Secure the two sheet metal parts with three car-
riage bolts, washers and nuts (A1).
3.
Secure the protective guard on the right (4a) with
two hex screws, washers and nuts (A2) on the side
of the rocker (4) and one hex screw, washer and
nut (A2) on the rear side of the swivel frame (4).
4.
Repeat this process to fit the protective guard, left
(4b) and saw blade guard 2 (4d). (Fig. 6-7)

Position the handle (5) on the left side of the swivel
frame (4) and secure this firmly with the cylindrical
screws and nuts (B1). (Fig. 8)
9.2
Return spring (6) & locking lever (6a) (fig. 9)
1.
Position the return spring (6) on the inner side and
the locking lever (6a) on the outer side of the main
frame (9) and fasten these with the hex screw, the
washers and the nut (D).

Do not tighten the hex screw too tightly to ensure
that the locking lever (6a) can still be easily moved.
9.3
Combination switch/plug (11) (fig. 10)
• Fix the switch/plug combination (11) to the rear of the
frame (9) using the Phillips screws (C) so that the on/
off switch (11a) points upwards.
9.4
Cross members (9a) (Fig. 11)
1.
Open the main frame (9) out and attach the cross
member (9a). One end of the cross members (9a)
is fitted to the inner side of the main frame (9) (mo-
tor side). Fasten the cross member (9a) loosely in-
itially using the hex screw, washers and nuts (E1).

Place the swivel frame (4) on the side of the main
frame (9) where it is to be in its final position. The
other end of the cross members (9a) is attached to
the outer side of the main frame (9).
3.
Screw the cross members (9a) and the swiv-
el frame (4) to the main frame (9) using the hex
screws, washers and nuts (E2).

Then tighten hex screw (E1) firmly too. Make sure
that the swivel frame can still move easily.
9.5
Saw blade guard (12a, 12b) & saw blade (12)
(Fig. 12-15)
1.
Remove the hex nut (12e), the outer saw blade
flange (12c) and the inner saw blade flange (12d).
2.
Fit the saw blade guard on the inside (12a) as
shown in Fig. 12. Fasten this in place with the three
fillister head screws, washers and nuts (F1) at the
top part of the main frame (9).
3.
Fasten the bottom part of the saw blade guard on
the inside (12a) with the fillister head screw, wash-
er and nut (F2).
4.
Insert the saw blade flange on the inside (12d) onto
the motor shaft (10a). (Fig. 13)
5.
Place the saw blade (12) on the inside saw blade
flange (12d). Ensure that the teeth of the saw blade
(12) are pointing in the correct direction.
