Assembly
Tool required:
• Open-ended spanner, size 13 mm*
• Open-ended spanner, size 17 mm*
• Open-ended spanner AF 19 mm*
• Teflon tape*
* = may not be included in the scope of delivery!
8.1
Install the plug nipple (7) and
lubricator (12) (Fig. 1, 2, 6)
1. Remove the protective cap (5) from the compressed
air connection (4) of the product. Use an open-ended
spanner AF 19.
2. Wrap the thread of the plug nipple (7) and lubricator
(12) with Teflon tape.
3. Screw the plug nipple (7) into the thread of the lubrica-
tor (12). Use an open-ended spanner AF 13 and AF
17.
4. Mount the combination of plug nipple (7) and lubrica-
tor (12) in the compressed air connection (4). Use an
open-ended spanner AF 17.

Before commissioning
ATTENTION
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
Operate the product only with cleaned, oil-misted com-
pressed air and do not exceed the maximum working
pressure of 6.3 bar at the product. The compressor must
be equipped with a pressure reducer to regulate the work-
ing pressure.
When setting the air pressure, please bear in mind that
the pressure drops by approx. 0.6 bar for a hose length of
10 m and an inner diameter of 9 mm.
9.1
Inserting/removing tool attachment
(9/10/11) (Figs. 3-5)
WARNING
Tool attachments may be sharp and become hot during
use. Always wear protective gloves when handling the
tool attachments.
CAUTION
Keep your hands away from the tool attachment when
the product is in operation.
WARNING
Never leave the chuck key inserted in the chuck!
Note:
• Use the bit (10) with the bit holder (9).
• Select the appropriate bit for the work to be carried
out.
• First insert the bit holder (9) into the chuck and then
insert the bit (10).
• To change the bit (10), pull it out towards the front and
insert a new bit (10) into the bit holder (9).
Check that the tool attachment is fitted securely.
Tool attachments that are not fitted correctly or securely
may come loose during operation and injure you.
1. Release the chuck jaws of the drill chuck (1) using the
chuck key (8) by turning it anticlockwise until the drill
chuck opening (1) is large enough to hold the tool at-
tachment (9/11).
2. Insert a tool attachment (9/11).
Push the tool attachment (9/11) as far as possible into
the drill chuck (1)
3. Tighten the holding jaws of the chuck (1) using the
chuck key (8) by turning it clockwise.
4. Check that the tool attachment (9/11) is centred.
5. Perform a short test run to check that the tool attach-
ment (9/11) for concentricity.
6. To remove the tool attachment (9/11), loosen the
holding jaws of the chuck (1) using the chuck key (8)
and remove the tool attachment (9/11).
9.2
Connection to a compressed air
source (Fig. 2, 6)
ATTENTION
Ensure that the compressed air hose is firmly attached.
A loose hose that flails around uncontrollably poses a
serious hazard.
Note:
Before connecting the pressure source
• The correct working pressure (3 - 6.8 bar) must be ful-
ly built up.
1. Connect the product to a compressor by connecting
the plug nipple (7) to the supply hose of the com-
pressed air source using a quick coupling connection.
10 Operation
10.1
Switching the product on/off
(Fig. 1)
Note:
Always switch the product on before making contact with
the material and then guide the product to the workpiece.
Switching on
1. Press and hold the on/off switch (2).
Switching off
1. Release the on/off switch (2).
2. Disconnect the product from the compressed air
source after work.
