Intended use

2.1 Intended use
The purpose of the power distribution unit is to monitor
and regulate the values of the connected devices.
The power distribution unit is intended for installation in
a caravan or motor home.
If the following conditions are fulfilled, the functional
scope of the power distribution unit is available:

The current firmware version is installed on the pow-

er distribution unit

Improper use

All other uses not listed under proper use are improper
and therefore prohibited.
This applies for example to installation and operation in:
Motor buses (vehicle classes M2 and M3),

Commercial vehicles (vehicle class N),
•
Boats and other water vessels,
•
Hunting/forestry huts, weekend homes or awnings,
•
in trailers and vehicles for the transport of dangerous
•
goods.
Defective devices must not be used.
The device is not designed to be retrofitted to vehicles.
Devices that are installed or used in a manner contrary
to the operating and installation instructions must not
be used.

2.3 Exclusion of warranty and guaran-
tee claims
The following actions in particular will result in the for-
feiture of rights to warranty and guarantee claims and
preclude any liability claims:
Modifications to the device (including accessory

parts),
Use of parts other than Truma original parts as spare
•
parts and accessory parts.
Failure to follow the operating and installation inst-
•
ructions.
In addition, the operating permit of the device or, in
some countries, the operating permit of the vehicle may
be rendered void.

Installation, removal, conversion

Only competent and trained people (experts) are permit-
ted to install and repair the Truma product and to carry
out the function test, at the same time observing the
operating and installation instructions and the currently
recognised technical regulations. Experts are people
who, based on their specialist instruction and training,
their knowledge and experience with Truma products
and the relevant standards, can carry out the necessary
work properly and identify potential dangers.
People who are not experts should observe the follo-
wing:
Do not open the device.

Do not mount the device, do not install it in other

locations and do not install it in other vehicles.
Do not dismantle, convert or repair the device your-

self.
Installation, removal or conversion work may only be

carried out by experts.

Safety instructions

3.1

General safety

Disregarding the regulations in the operating instruc-
tions can lead to serious property damage and seriously
endanger the health or life of persons.
Carefully read and observe the power distribution

unit operating instructions and supporting docu-
ments for other devices, e.g. for the gas supply, the
heating system, the air conditioning system and the
vehicle, and keep them for later use.
Observe the iNet X System operating instructions

and keep them for later use.
Observe the legally applicable laws, directives and

standards for the use and operation of the power
distribution unit at the place of operation.
