Checking the battery charge level

1. Press the button (10) next to the charge
level indicator button (11) on the battery
(9).
The LEDs of the charge level indicator
show how much charge remains in the
battery.
2. Charge the battery (9) when only the red
LED on the charge level indicator (11) is
illuminated.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool before
charging.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sun-
light for long periods and do not place it
on a radiator (max. 50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (9) from the device.
2. Push the battery (9) into the charging slot
of the battery charger (14).
3. Connect the battery charger (14) to a
power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the battery
charger (14) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (9) out of the battery
charger (14).

Information on sawing
General Information
• Do not use any blunt or bent blades or
blades which are damaged in any other
way.
• Before sawing the workpiece, check for
hidden foreign objects such as nails or
screws. These must be removed.
• Only use saw blades with the same saw
blade shank as the saw blade provided.
• Hold the device securely by the handle.
• Place the footplate on the workpiece.

• Do not apply too much pressure in the
cutting direction. Let the device do the
work.
• Switch the appliance off immediately if
the sawing blade jams. Force apart the
saw cut and pull the saw blade out care-
fully.
• Before shutting down the device, switch
it off and wait for it to come to a complete
standstill.
• Always stand to the side of the saw when
working.
• Avoid over-stressing the device while
working.
Plunge sawing
Requirements
• Soft materials such as wood, aerated
concrete, plasterboard etc.
Procedure
1. Place the device with the lower edge of
the footplate (1) on the workpiece. The
saw blade (15) does not touch the work-
piece.
2. Insert the saw blade (15) in the workpiece
by tipping the device forward until the
device is vertical.
3. Continue sawing along the desired cut-
ting line.

 WARNING! Risk of injury due to uninten-
tional start-up. Only insert the battery into
the device once the device is fully prepared
for use.
NOTICE! Risk of damage! An incorrect bat-
tery can damage the device and battery.
Inserting the battery
1. Push the battery (9) along the guide into
the battery holder (8).
You will hear the battery click into place.
Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release (12) on
the battery (9).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery holder
(8).

1. Insert the rechargeable battery (9) into
the device.
