Sending SMS messages
The phone number of the SMS service centre via which the SMS text should be
sent must be selected as the Send Service.
This phone number is automatically used for sending SMS texts. This means
SMS text can only be sent via this SMS service centre.
On supply, an SMS service centre is already registered (phone number
0193010). This means that SMS texts can be sent immediately (without any
further preparatory measures).
Receiving SMS messages
In order to be able to receive SMS messages via an SMS service centre, you
must be registered with this SMS service centre. This can normally be done by
sending an SMS free of charge to the SMS service centre; . Page 76.
You can register with another three SMS service centres from by different ser-
vice providers to receive SMS messages. Registration with an SMS service
centre is sufficient to be able to receive SMS messages via this SMS service
centre.
The phone number of the SMS service centre must be entered under SMS
Centres; . Page 67.
To register and deregister with other SMS service centres by means of an
SMS, you must initially select the corresponding SMS service centre as the
Send Service.
Please refer to the information from the respective service provider with regard
to the registration and deregistration details to be sent to the service centres.
After sending an SMS text via Send Services 2...4, the system automa-
tically switches back to Send Service 1. If for any reason there is a
failure in sending the SMS the phone will automatically try to resend
using Send Service 1.
