DEVICE DESCRIPTION

The Turbo-Flo Peripherally Inserted Central Venous Catheter (PICC) is a
polyurethane catheter with a polyurethane suture wing, reinforced extensions
and plastic clamps. Catheters can be trimmed to fit the patient's anatomy.
PICC sets and trays also contain a Peel-Away® introducer, appropriately
sized access needle, wire guides, positive pressure injection caps, and other
accessories for percutaneous vascular placement.

INTENDED USE

Turbo-Flo Peripherally Inserted Central Venous Catheter (PICC) Sets and
Trays are intended for venous pressure monitoring, blood sampling and
administration of drugs and fluids.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

None known
WARNINGS
• Do not power inject contrast medium through catheter. Catheter rupture
may result. Use of a 10 ml or larger syringe will reduce the risk of catheter
rupture.
• Peripherally Inserted Central Venous Catheters play an important role
in treatment of patients. However, catheter tips can erode or perforate
vascular walls. Extreme caution must be used in placement and
monitoring of catheters.
