INSTALLATION AND USE

WARNING: To prevent the saw starting accidentally and possibly causing serious personal injury, fit all accessories
to your saw before plugging it in. Always unplug your saw before fitting parts, making adjustments, attaching or
removing a blade, or when you are not using your saw.
• STOP BLOCK
The stop block is useful as a stop for cutting multiple pieces to the same length. It can be installed on either extension arm,
on either side of the saw base:
Slide the stop block on the back rail of either extension arms, then insert the extension arm into the saw base. See Figure 42.
Use the small wing screw to secure the stop block to the extension arm.
Install extension arms according to instructions in the next section.
Loosen the small wing screw and adjust the stop block the desired distance from the blade, as required.
Tighten the small wing screw securely.
Make a test cut in scrap material and measure the length of the workpiece.
Make any necessary adjustments.
Note: Once the stop block is installed, it may be flipped out of the way if not needed. Loosen the small wing screw to rotate
the stop block backwards.
WARNING: When using a clamp with the stop block, fit the clamp on the stop block side of the blade. This will eliminate
the possibility of the saw catching the loose end and throwing the workpiece. Failure to heed this warning can result
in serious personal injury.

• INSTALLING THE TABLE EXTENSION ARMS
To install the table extension arms on the mitre saw, carefully place the saw on its side on a stable surface to expose the
underside of the saw table.
Holding the clamp bracket against its support, insert the two rails of the extension arm into the holes in one end of the
mitre saw and slide them into the corresponding supports to hold them against the saw table. See Figure 43.
Note: When the saw is right side up, the curved ends of the extension arms should point upwards.
Secure the extension arm using the clamp bracket screw.
Repeat the procedure for the other extension arm.
Put the saw back in its upright position.
