Storage
• Remove the rechargeable batteries.
• Clean and maintain the tool prior to stor-
age.
• Attach the chain guard (22).
• Empty the oil tank prior to longer peri-
ods of non-use. Dispose of waste oil
environmentally correctly (Disposal/
environmental protection, p. 46).
There may still be oil residues within
hoses and in the tool that could leak out
during storage. Place the tool on a suit-
able base/oil pan for storage.
• Store the tool in a dry and dustproof loca-
tion and out of reach of children.

Transport
• Switch off the tool each time before
transport, engage the chain brake and re-
move the batteries.
• Cover the blade bar and saw chain with
the chain guard (22) when you transport
the tool.
• Short distances at the place of work:
Carry the tool by the front handle (11) with
the blade bar pointing backwards.
• Secure the tool against tipping over dur-
ing transport (including in vehicles) to pre-
vent injury, damage or loss of fuel.
