Cleaning after every use

grease. If necessary, clean the handles
with a damp cloth washed in soapy water.
• Clean the saw chain. Do not use any li-
quids to clean the saw chain. Lightly oil
the saw chain with chain oil after clean-
ing.
• For cleaning, also remove the sprock-
et cover (9) so that this area can also be
cleaned.

Maintenance

Service intervals
Carefully perform the maintenance tasks lis-
ted in the following table on a regular basis.
Regular servicing of your device will extend
its life. Additionally, you will achieve optimum
cutting performance and prevent accidents.
Before
each use
6. Push the blade bar (5) towards the chain
sprocket (26).
You can remove the saw chain (6) and
blade bar (5).
Changing the saw chain and blade bar
Prior to changing the saw chain, the groove
of the guide rail must be cleaned of dirt be-
cause dirt deposits available can cause the
saw chain to break out of the rail. The de-
posits can also absorb the chain oil. So the
consequence would be that the chain oil
would not or only a small part of it would
reach the underside of the rail and the lubric-
ation would be reduced.
WARNING! Risk of injury! The use of un-
authorised combinations of blade bar and
saw chain can lead to an increased risk of
kickback.
