How to Set the Timer
Reservation
The timer reservation function makes it possible to turn the unit
on or off automatically
at the desired time.
• The built-in timer starts and stops at the sametime everyday
until the timer reservation is cancelled.
• This function can be used when recording an FM or AM
broadcast during your absence,or to play a CD, TAPE, FM or
AM broadcast as an alarm clock. Pleasereferto the Instruction
Manual of the components
Example:
Settingthe timer reservationso that an FM broadcast ( 98.1 MHz)
starts at 20:00 and stops at 20:30.
Turn on the Power
button.

NOTES:
The timer reservation
has been set. (Refer to "How to set the Current Time" on
page 10.)
Set the Volume
Control knob to the minimum
recording during your absence.
If using this unit as an alarmclock, set the Volume Control
knob to the level you want when the unit is turned on.

When selecting TAPE as a source, make sure that the timer
switches of the tape deck are set to a position other than the
"OFF" position. Also make sure that a tape is inserted in the
component.
Load a disc only when using the timer to play a
CD. Do not load a disc when using the timer to play or record
from a source other than the CD. The CD function

Press the STAND-

The TIMER STAND-BY indicator goes out and the timer reser-
vation is cancelled. When setting the timer reservation again,
