Batteries
The remotecontrol transmitteris poweredby two batteries.
Beforeusingthis unit for the first time, insertthetwo batteries
(included)asshown in thediagram. Theremote controltrans-
mitter has no on/off
switch. Average battery life is one year.
Thisperiodmaybe shorterdepending o nthe frequency o f use
and environment (temperatureandhumidity) in which the re-
mote control transmitter is used. Ifthe remotecontrol transmitter
doesnot operate even though front panelcontrolsfunction
normally,the batteries should bereplaced.Useonly batteries
listed in the following
chart.

Precautions
Remove the batteries if the remote control transmitter

This unit uses infrared rays. Therefore, commands may not be

received properly if the front panel of the R-100 is exposed to

If the R-IOO is placed inside an audio rack behind a glass door,

the door should not use colored glass or have any decorations
on it since this could shorten the range or prevent commands
from being received.
