How to Set the Current Time
Make sure to adjust the time to the current time before setting the
timer. Also do the same adjustment after a power failure has occurred
or the power cord has been unpiugged.
Plug the power cord into a socket after making all Ofthe nec-
essary connections between components. "0:00" will flash on
the display. (This will also appear if the power has beencut
off.)

How to Operate the Sleep Timer
1
Press to set the power off timer. The sleep timer is a function
which turns off the power to the system from the time it is set.
When this button is pressed, "90 MIN" is displayed on the
multifunction's display for 5 seconds, and the power goes off
90 minutes later. Each time the button is pressed during 5
seconds, the timer setting changes 80, 70 .... 10 minutes, in turn.
While the sleeptimer is opetating, the SLEEPindicator is lighted.
If the sleep button is pressedduring this time, the amount Of
time remaining on the sleep timer is displayed, and if the button
is pressedduring that display, I Ominuteswill besubtractedfrom
that time. If the button is pressed until the display shows O
minutes, the sleep timer is cancelled,and the power is not turned
off.

The ADJUST indicator goes out and the dots flash. The clock
then starts. Pressing the MEMORY button according to an
announcement of time on the radio or TV enables
time adjustment to the level of second.

NOTES:
• The time setting can also be adjusted when the Power Switch
is off.
• If you press the ADJUST button before pressing the MEM-
ORY button will return you to the conditions present prior
to setting the time.

Priority Order of the Timer
When both the Sleep Timer and the timer reservation are set, the
unit is operated as below.
Example I)
The timer reservation is set from 9:00 to 12:00. The Sleep Timer is
set to start at 10:00 and stop 60 minutes later (I I :OO).
