Please note that heat-resistant stove paints are only conditionally anti-corrosive. In
case of a too moist cleaning of the stove or the floor in the vicinity of the stove or in
case of installation in moist rooms, film rust may develop.
Regulated slow combustion with coal products
– For heating-up, we recommend using a chimney or barbecue lighter with fine, dry wood.
– Set controller 2 to MAX.
– Whilst the wood is burning, feed 2 kg of hard coal or a corresponding amount of lignite pel-
lets to the stove.
– Do not leave the stove unattended during this initial firing phase so that you can control the
fire.

The ash box flap must always be kept well closed since the stove could otherwise be
damaged.
After the so-called basic embers have been established, the stove can be filled with the highest
permissible fuel amount of 2 kg hard coal or pellets for slow combustion.
– The power controller must now be set to the position required to maintain the desired room
temperature.
Note:
When coal products are used, the appliance requires a constant supply of primary air!
The position of the primary air controller (controller 3) on the ash box thus absolutely
must be observed. Other than for maintaining the embers, the rotary power controller
(controller 2) should not be set to position "0."

Operation in the transition time

CAUTION!
Danger due to the development of smoke
In the transition time, e.g., in case of strongly fluctuating or higher outdoor tempera-
tures (at about 15°C), a sudden increase in the outdoor temperature may lead to prob-
lems with the flue so that the flue gases are badly exhausted.
Please note that the fireplace should not be commissioned in this time in case of an
insufficient draught.
During this time, do not under any circumstances throttle the primary air controller to
its lowest setting. In this case, adjust the air controller of the stove in such a way that
the fuel visibly burns.
Shake off the ashes frequently.
In case of a too low setting of the combustion air supply, experience has shown that problems
with the flue will occur. This can also lead to the sightglass becoming covered in soot. In normal
cases, the layer burns off by itself again if the stove is operated with the controllers opened.
Clean with non-scouring cleaning agent if necessary.
