The combustion chamber doors may be opened only to add fuel and remove ashes. Otherwise,
even when not in use, they must be kept close to prevent impairment to other fireplaces and
the associated risks.
A sufficient supply of fresh air to the room of installation must be guaranteed. Windows and
doors of the room of installation must not be closed too tightly due to the required supply of
combustion air. Even during the operation if exhaust air systems (bathroom fans, cooker
hoods, etc.) in your apartment or in any connected apartments, the required minimum air vol-
ume must be able to flow into the stove without hindrance.
Attention! The stove must not be operated together with the operation of controlled living area
ventilation and air conditioning systems.
The operation of the stove is not endangered when the systems only circulate air within a room
or the systems have safety devices that prevent a vacuum in the room of installation automat-
ically and reliably. You absolutely must consult your master chimney sweep to make sure there
is a sufficient combustion air supply.
Through the burning of fuels, thermal energy is released that leads to a strong heating of the
surfaces of the heating appliance (doors, door and operating handles, sightglass panes, side
walls, front wall, flue pipes). Touching these parts without corresponding heat protection
gloves must be avoided! When heating your stove, do not wear loose or easily flammable cloth-
ing! Make children aware of these risks and keep them away from the fireplace while heating
is in progress.
If incorrect or too moist fuel is used, a chimney fire might result due to deposits in the chimney.
Immediately close all air openings in the oven and inform the fire brigade. After a fire in the
chimney, you must have it checked by an expert for cracks and leaks.
Data to calculate the chimney dimensions according to DIN EN
13384-1 and 13384-2
Data to calculate the chimney dimensions according to DIN EN 13384-1 and 13384-2 can be
found on the data sheet.
Installation of the stove and connection to the chimney
The packaging of your stove optimally protects it against damage. During transport, however,
damage may arise on the stove or accessories. For this reason, please check your stove for
damage and completeness after unpacking! Report any damage to the stove dealer immedi-
ately!
Note:
Loose draught deflection plates or draught deflection plates that have slipped out of
the anchoring are not considered to be damage (see Chapter ► Commissioning of
your stove – p. 54).
The packaging of your stove is environmentally neutral or the most part. The wood of the pack-
aging is not surface-treated and can be chopped up and burned. The cardboard and plastic
films can be disposed of at your local rubbish collection facility.
In the case of stoves with self-closing combustion chamber doors, a connection to a chimney
that already holds other stoves and furnaces is possible insofar as not contradicted by the
chimney measurement according to DIN EN 13384 and/or 13384-2.
In case of the operation of several fireplaces in one room or in an air composite system, a suf-
ficient combustion air supply must be provided.
