(4) Put this product into the ultrasound endoscope
in order to determine the appropriate length of the
outer jacket depending on the endoscope.
(5) Insert the lure connected to the endoscope into
the entrance of the endoscope working channel and
then turn it.
(6) Lift the button of the controller which adjusts the
length of endoscope and turn it 90 degrees to be
moved.
(7) After that, adjust it until it reaches the
appropriate length. Turn the button 90 degrees to
be fixed.
Caution: If the needle length of the electrode is
increased or adjusted while the connection between
the electrode and EUS and Scope is not ensured, the
EUS and Scope may be damaged.
(8) Lift the button of the insertion length locking
part and turn it 90 degrees to be moved.
(9) Move the button to the desired insertion length
of the tip and turn it 90 degrees to be fixed.
Caution: When the electrode TIP is inserted by
advancing the electrode handle without fixing the
button of the insertion length locking part, the
insertion length locking device may move, and then
the electrode TIP may be inserted into the tissue of
the undesired portion, which may cause perforation
or injury.
(10) Check the location of the lesion to be treated
by using the EUS and Scope, and then advance the
electrode handle to place the electrode TIP in the
lesion.
(11) When the electrode is placed in the lesion,
operate the pump connected to the inflow tubing to
check whether the cold liquid comes out from the
outflow tubing of the electrode. After that, press the
power switch of the electrosurgical instrument to be

Caution: If the high frequency is produced
while the inside of the electrode TIP is not
sufficiently cooled down, carbonization may take
place in the electrode TIP, which may cause
problems in product performance.
(12) When the operation is completed, turn off the
power switches of the electrosurgical instrument and
the pump.
(13) Pull the electrode handle backwards, and put
the electrode TIP in the sheath. Set the insertion
length locking part to "0", and fix the button of the
insertion length locking part to the appropriate
position. After that, turn the electrode handle to
separate it from the instrument channel of the EUS
and Scope.
(14) Carefully remove the separated electrode from
the instrument channel.
Caution: When the electrode is removed from
the EUS and Scope, be very careful to avoid any
damage in the patient and operator due to the
electrode tip.
(15) According to the instructions of the product,
remove the EUS and Scope from the patient.
10. After Use
(1) Grounding pad
- When the procedure is finished, turn off the POWER
switch of the RF lesion generator and
disconnect the grounding pad connectors from the
generator.
- Slowly remove the grounding pads in order to
prevent injury on the surface of the skin.
- Do not remove the grounding pads by pulling the
electric cables of the ground pads.
(2) Turn off the POWER switch of the RF lesion
generator and remove the electrode and other parts
after the procedure is finished.
