6. MAINTENANCE

6.1. GENERAL INFORMATIONS
1.
Whether in use or in storage, please do not exceed the
specification requirements to avoid possible damages or
dangers.
2. Do not place this meter at high temperatures or humidity or
expose it to direct sunlight.
3. Be sure to turn off the meter after use. If you expect not to use
the tester for a long time, remove the battery to avoid leakages
of battery liquid that would damage the internal parts
6.2. BATTERY REPLACEMENT

Only expert and trained technicians must perform this
operation. Remove the test leads before replacing the
battery

Turn off the instrument
2. Disconnect the test leads from the input terminals.
3. Remove the battery compartment cover fixing screw located in
the upper part of the rear back holster and detach it
4. Remove the batteries replacing it with new ones of the same
type (see § 7.2) respecting the polarity signs.

6.3. INTERNAL FUSES REPLACEMENT
1.
Turn OFF the meter and disconnect the test leads from the
input terminals
2. Remove the battery compartment cover fixing screw located in
the upper part of the rear back holster and detach it
3. Unscrew the four fixing screws of the back holster and remove it
4. Remove the defective fuse and install a new fuse of the same
size and rating (see § 7.2) Make sure the new fuse is centered in
the fuse holder. Re-screw the back holster
5. Replace the battery cover and screw
6.4. CLEANING
For cleaning the instrument use a soft dry cloth. Never use a wet
cloth, solvents or water, etc
