2. Information about the motor features

2.1. Designated use

The SEZ-RC motor must only be used as a drive in fabric shafts in sun protection installations,
insect protection installations or obscuration systems that are constructed and executed
according to the ZIP system.

2.2. Basic motor properties

Obstacle detection system after the limit position setting in the downwards direction
Reversing function: Relieving after running onto an obstacle in the down wards direc-
tion (automatic reversion up to three times)
Reversing function: Overload protection in the upwards direction if the torque is too
high, freezing protection (automatic reversion up to three times)
Automatic detection of up and downwards direction after occurred end limit posi-
tion setting
Parallel connection of several motors possible
Automatic setting of the lower end position
Automatic setting of the upper end position and release
Switch off bottom: fixed point possible
Switch off top: fixed point possible
Further notes: The obstacle detection of the drives has been developed to protect the sun
protection installation, the insect protection or the obscuration system against damages.
Since, depending on the position of the hangings, when an obstacle is detected, the entire
hanging weight may have to be stopped before the object detection system trips, do not use
the motor's obstacle detection system for protection against injury to persons.
The airborne noise of the motor is significantly below 70 dB (A). Depending on the type of the
roller shutter/awning/screen a strengthening of the sound intensity of the motor is possible.
It can be reduced by use of appropriate measures (e.g. insula tion of the box, using noise pro-
tection plugs, etc.).
