5. Precautions & Preparation for Measurements
1. Remove the power from the circuit when making the measurement. If any voltage is present in
the testing circuit, then an erroneous reading will result.
2. Ensure, that the batteries (6 x 1,5 V AA battery) are connected correctly to the right position into
the battery compartment.
3. Rotate the "Function-/Range Switch" to the right position before making measurement.
4. Slide the "Range/Funktion Switch" to the off position if the meter is not used.

6. Measuring Procedure

6.1. Ohms Measurement (Continuous Check)
1. Connect the RED test plug into V/-jack.
2. Connect the BLACK test plug into COM-jack.
3. Rotate the Function/Range Switch to the "400 " position.
4. Connect test leads into circuit under test.
5. Read the measured values at the display.
6.2. MegOhm Measurement (Insulation Measurement)
Attention! Never touch the tips of the test leads while insulation measurement.
1. Connect the RED test plug into the V/-jack.
2. Connect the BLACK test plug into the COM-jack.
3. Rotate the Function/Range Switch to the position according the user´s requirement.
4. Connect test leads into circuit under test.
5. Push the Test Button for measurement.
6.3. Continous Insulation measurement
1. Press the Lock/Continous button, until a lock symbol appears at the display.
2. Push the Test button to start the Insulation measurement.
3. Push the Test button again to end the insulation test.
