• Do not touch parts of the sander that are in motion.
• Use a protective mask if dust is generated during sanding. Dust
generated when sanding wooden and metal surfaces painted
with lead paint is harmful.
• Third parties should not enter a room where paint containing
lead compounds is being removed with a sander.
• Contact with or inhalation of dust containing lead compounds
may endanger health.
• A dust extraction system must be connected.
• Do not eat, drink or smoke in a room where paint containing
lead compounds is being removed by means of a sander.
• The sander is not suitable for wet work.
• Always keep the power cord of the machine away from moving
parts of the sander.
ATTENTION: The machine is designed for indoor use.
In spite of the inherently safe design, the use of safety and
additional protective measures, there is always a risk of
residual injury during operation.

CONSTRUCTION AND USE
The delta orbital sander, is a hand-held power tool driven by
a single-phase commutator motor. The sander does not
require protective earthing (insulation class II). The delta
orbital sander is designed for surface finishing sanding of
wooden products, polishing of varnished wooden surfaces,
finishing polishing of varnished metal surfaces, removal of
rust or varnish marks prior to repainting, etc. Areas of use
are renovation and construction work, carpentry, and all
work in the area of independent amateur activity (DIY).
The sander must not be used for sanding materials containing
magnesium, asbestos, gypsum or surfaces covered with
plaster.

PREPARATION FOR WORK
ATTACHMENT OF SANDING PAPER
The sander is equipped with a Velcro-type foot, so only suitable
sandpaper should be used.
• Close the sandpaper to the sanding pad (3).
• Place the sandpaper so that its holes (a)are aligned with those
on the sanding pad.
• Press the paper against the sanding pad (3) (fig. A).
• Ensure that the holes in the sanding paper and the workfoot
are fully aligned to allow dust to escape.
The sandpaper must fit tightly onto the sanding workfoot.
DUST EVACUATION
Use perforated sandpaper so that the dust can reach the dust
extraction port (2) via the workfoot (3). You can also connect an
external dust extraction system by connecting it to the adapter
(4).
OPERATION / SETTINGS
SWITCHING ON / OFF
The mains voltage must correspond to the voltage rating on
the sander's rating plate.
• Switch on - press the on/off button (1) to position I (Fig. B).
• Switch off - press the on/off button (1) to position O.
WORKING WITH THE ORBITAL SANDER
• The entire sanding surface must rest on the work surface.
• Turn the sander on and, applying moderate pressure, move it
over the workpiece.
• When finishing sanding, reduce the pressure on the sander, lift
it and only then switch it off.
OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
Disconnect the machine from the mains supply before
carrying out any adjustment, operation or repair work.
• It is best to clean the sander with a soft brush or a jet of
compressed air.
• Do not use water or chemical cleaning agents for cleaning.
• Clean the grinder regularly, and preferably after each job.
• Always keep the sander and its ventilation slots clean.
• Always store the sander in a dry place out of the reach of
children.
• If excessive sparking occurs on the commutator, have the
condition of the motor carbon brushes checked by a qualified
person.
REPLACING THE WORKFOOT
A damaged operating foot (3) must be replaced immediately.
• Remove the screws securing the working foot (3).
• Remove and replace the working foot with a new one.
Tighten the fixing screws.
REPLACEMENT OF CARBON BRUSHES
Worn (shorter than 5 mm), burnt or cracked carbon brushes
of the motor must be replaced immediately. Always replace
both brushes at the same time.
Only a qualified person must replace the carbon brushes
using original parts.
Any type of malfunction should be repaired by the
manufacturer's authorised service centre.
