11 – Cleaning of the cabinet
Clean the cabinet regularly using neutral detergents and dry it with soft cloths. Do not use flammable or abrasive products,
do not use direct water jets. For a more accurate cleaning, remove drawers, glass shelves and, in case, front glasses. Do
use gloves, when cleaning the evaporator, in order to prevent injuries.
Warning: before cleaning the cabinet, always disconnect power supply.
12 –Maintenance
Warning: Before proceeding with the maintenance disconnect the cabinet from the power supply.
Routine Maintenance
The cabinet is equipped with a liquid crystals digital thermometer, with battery (inside basin). If the thermometer doesn't
show the temperature because the battery is over, replace the battery with a new one, of same voltage. Do not throw away
the exhausted battery, but deliver it to authorised collection centres.
Battery replacement: take the thermometer out of its slot by using a screwdriver, (Page 6, Fig. 25a). On the back part of the
thermometer you'll find the seat of the battery. Open the cover anti-clock wise and take out the battery. (Page 6, Fig. 25b).
In case the drawer has to be removed, the following operations must be carried-out:
-
Withdraw the drawer to its maximum extension
-
Shift upward the lever present on the left guide then, at the same time, shift downward the lever present on the right
guide. In this position withdraw the bottom shelf (Page 6, Fig. 26a)
Special Maintenance
Every month clean the condenser, taking the protection grid off (Page 6, Fig. 25). Use a rigid bristle brush (non metallic) or a
vacuum cleaner to eliminate dust and all residuals settled between fins. Use gloves when cleaning the condenser, in order to
prevent injuries. Once cleaning operations are over, re-install the protections previously removed. A dirty condenser
increases energy consumption and makes the performances of the cabinet worse.
We recommend an overall checking of the cabinet once a year by specialised staff.
The evaporator, after long time operation, could present ice accumulation, which prevent it to work normally. Every three
months, a general cleaning of the cabinet has to be executed: disconnect the power supply and clean completely the
cabinet. Wait until the ice on the evaporator's fins is completely melted, then clean all the parts of the cabinet as described at
Point 10.
Before switching on the cabinet, make sure that it is completely dry.
Warning: other maintenance operations, (not described herein) including replacement of fluorescent lamps, have to be
commissioned to authorised centres of assistance or qualified personnel.
13 – Emergency situations
Warning – In case the cabinet stops working or doesn't start:
-
Check that there is not any black out in the power supply.
-
Check that the switch on the main board is in "ON" position.
If the stop of the cabinet doesn't depend on the above, call the nearest centre of assistance and unload the cabinet, storing
the products inside proper cold-rooms.
Warning – When the cabinet is not cooling properly:
-
Verify that condenser is clean and in condition to work efficiently. On the contrary, go to Point 12.
-
Verify that cabinet was correctly loaded and air slits are clear. On the contrary, go to Point 8
-
Verify that evaporator is not covered by ice. On the contrary go to Point 12
-
Verify that the cabinet is not subject to air flows or heating sources (see Point 4)
-
Verify that the cabinet is perfectly levelled and environmental conditions respect what reported at Point 4
If the problem persists after all the above verifications, please call your nearest service centre.
Warning – In the event of fire or escape of gas, do not get near the compressor room, disconnect immediately the power
supply. Do not use water to extinguish fire, but only dry extinguishers.
All the materials that make up the cabinet are fire-retardant or self-extinguishing and not flammable
14 – Technical assistance
Whenever the intervention of specialised technicians is required and whenever the replacement of mechanical / electrical
components or compressors is required, the end user will have to contact the dealer where the cabinet was purchased,
always asking for original spare parts.
15 - Dismantling and elimination of cabinet
For environmental reasons and in compliance with the regulations in your country, separate the parts of the cabinet for
disposal and/or recycling.
All the parts that make up the cabinet are made of materials that are not classifiable as urban waste except for the metallic
parts that are not classified as special waste in most countries. As regards the parts of the refrigeration circuit, that is the
refrigerating gas and lubricating oil, these should not be disposed of carelessly and can be recycled by specialized centers.
This product contains HFC, namely fluoridated gasses, a refrigerating gas with a high Global Warming Potential
(GWP) regulated by the Kyoto protocol.
