18. Year of manufacturing
Warning: The serial number plate and the labels which state the manufacturer's indication must not be removed.
The manufacturer decline any responsibility in case of non-observance of this statement.
The manufacturer declares that the cabinet conforms to the Italian law No. D.L. dtd 25/01/1992 N°108, fulfilment of EEC
Directive No. 89/109 related to the goods and the items which are in contact with foodstuff.
8 – Filling with products and use of the cabinet (startup)
With the cabinet off, remove the plastic film protection on the inside and outside and clean the cabinet according to the
instructions in paragraph 11.
After correctly assembling the cabinet (Par. 5) plug it into the mains (as described in Par. 6) and switch the cabinet on, switch
the light on using the switches on the control panel on the rear (FIG. 9 page 3). The gentle hum of the motor and illumination
of the display will indicate that the cabinet is working. The display (FIG. 9 page 3) on the rear casing shows the working
temperature of the display case. The instruction manual for the electronic control to which the display refers is enclosed with
the instruction booklet (tampering with this device is impossible because a password is required and only a specialized
expert can intervene on it). The thermostat and gas charge are set in the factory. Tampering with the factory settings relieves
the manufacturer of any liability.
About three hours after switching the cabinet on, you can start filling it with products. Always check that the temperature
reading on the display of the electronic control is suitable for the conservation of the products placed in the display cabinet.
The cabinet is designed for the display of food products, which are stored at the temperature of the product, and does not
lower it. The product should therefore be placed in the cabinet only after it has been chilled to its proper storage temperature.
For better conservation of the product we recommend:
-
Do not obstruct the cold recycle vents that ensure a correct air flow.
-
Leave some room between products to ensure good air circulation.
-
When placing more products inside a partially filled cabinet, in addition to following the above instructions, it is a good
rule to place the new products underneath the existing ones.
Use the sliding rear closures (available on request), that in addition to storing products better, save energy.
9 – Prohibitions and prescription
Warning: disconnect the cabinet from the power supply in case it is not used for long time. The power supply has to be
disconnected by the remote-control switch fitted upstream from the power socket.
Warning : Never expose the cabinet to the atmospheric corrosion, never utilise direct jet of water to clean the cabinet, never
touch the cabinet with wet hands or feet.
Warning : Never remove the protections or the covers which require tools for their removal. Never remove the cover of the
electrical control board.
Warning : The cabinets and its shelves must not be loaded with excessive weights. Never stand on the cabinet or on its
working desk.
Warning : The refrigeration circuit doesn't cause any chemical modification on the water generated by the defrosting of the
cabinet. The water is generated exclusively by the steam of the air present in the cabinet.
The water generated by the defrosting has to be always drained through the sewerage system, or ad hoc draining systems
realised as stated by the laws.
Warning : Any use not clearly indicated in this document has to be considered dangerous. Oscartielle cannot be considered
responsible for any damage caused by wrong, improper or unreasonable use of the product.
Warning: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit (IEC60335-2-89:2002 and changes)
Warning: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the
type recommended by the manufacturer (IEC60335-2-89:2002 and changes)
Warning: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of
the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Warning: Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
10 – Defrosting of the cabinet and evaporation of condensation water
The defrosting cycle is operated by a timer, the number and the duration of the defrosting cycle is settled in the factory, for
both plug-in and remote group cabinets.
In case of Sweet static the defrosting is settled as follow: N°4 defrosting, in 24 hours time.
In case the evaporator should generate ice because of very humid ambient conditions, we suggest to stop the cabinet for at
least one hour, during the closing time of the shop.
In the LX version the opening of the front glass for product loading, with the cabinet in operation, can generate frost on the
evaporator. To avoid such situation it is recommended to stop the cabinet operation.
The plug-in cabinets are not provided with an automatic evaporation system of the water. Because of that the water tray
placed on the rear side of the cabinet must be emptied from time to time (see Page 6, Fig. 24).
Warning : In case adjustment or modification of the setting are needed, please always refer to the maintenance staff.
Warning: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the
type recommended by the manufacturer (IEC60335-2-89:2002 and changes)
