Before operating the device, check it for misalignment or jamming of moving
parts, part defects and other circumstances that may affect the operation of the
device. If damaged, the device must be repaired before use. Many accidents
are caused by poorly maintained devices.

In general

• Assemble the waterproof nipple to the drum using the Allen wrench.
• Remove all Allen keys and adjustment tools.
• Grease the spiral shaft according to the operating instructions.See Cleaning p.22.
• Remove dirt from the handle and the body of the device before commissioning.See
Cleaning p.22.
• Check the flexible spiral shaft for wear and damage. If the spiral shaft is worn out or
shows corrosion and bending deformation, replace the shaft immediately.
• Set the direction of rotation before operation. See page 15.
• Familiarise yourself with the automatic clamping function of the spiral shaft before
commissioning.

Assembly and disassembly of the battery

• Turn the device OFF before inserting or removing the battery.
• Press the switch at the end of the battery when removing the battery.
• Remove the battery from the device.
