Check the device for completeness and function before commissioning.
• Have your device repaired by qualified personnel using only original spare parts.This
measure ensures that the safety of the device is maintained.
• Maintain the device with care.Check that moving parts are functioning properly and
are not jammed, that parts are not broken or damaged in such a way that the function
of the unit is impaired. Have damaged parts repaired by a specialist before using the
device.Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained devices.
• Never operate a defective or malfunctioning device! If in doubt, contact our customer
service or have the device checked by a qualified technician.

Electrical safety

• Do not expose the device to rain or moisture or immerse it in water.If water enters the
device, there is an increased risk of electric shock.
• The connector plug of the device must fit into the socket.The plug must not be changed
in any way.Do not use adapter plugs or multiple sockets.Only connect the device via
a residual current circuit breaker (FI circuit breaker). If your power connection does
not have a residual current circuit breaker, the device must be operated via a PRCD
circuit breaker!Never use damaged or defective sockets.Unchanged plugs and mat-
ching, faultless sockets reduce the risk of electric shock.
• Never use the power cord to carry, hang, or disconnect the device from the wall
outlet.Keep the cable away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts of the device.
Never pinch, bend, squeeze or knot the cable under the device.Always unroll the ca-
ble completely.Never immerse the power cable in water or other liquids. Damaged,
wet or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
• Observe the mains voltage! The power source data must correspond to the data on
the device type plate.
• If you operate the device outdoors, use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use.
The use of a cable suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
• Avoid contact with earthed parts such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigeration
units.There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is grounded.

Safety at the workplace:

• Keep your work area clean.Clear the workplace of obstacles.Ensure that the workpla-
ce is adequately lighted.Untidy and poorly lit workplaces increase the risk of injury.
• Always ensure a firm and secure position. Never lean too far forward. Never work
upside down, shoulder over or on ladders. Never work alone.
