A person must be available within calling distance for emergencies. Abnormal post-
ure can result in not being able to control the device in unexpected situations. Risk of
injury!
• Disconnect the plug from the socket before making any adjustments to the device,
servicing accessories or putting the device away.This precaution prevents the uninten-
tional start of the device.
• Never short the battery terminals. Short circuiting may cause burns or fire.
• Avoid skin and eye contact with the remains from the tube. After using pipe cleaning
agents, avoid direct contact with skin or eyes. Certain cleaning agents can cause
serious burns.Wear protective equipment.
• The flexible spiral shaft may wrap around the fingers and palms or break or cause in-
jury to other parts of the body. Work with caution and appropriate protective gloves.
Working with the device causes increased noise emissions. Wear ear protection!
• Do not operate the device in hazardous areas, e.g. with flammable liquids, gases or
dust.
The device generates sparks that can ignite dust or vapours.
• Avoid unintentional switching on.Make sure that the power switch is in the off position
before connecting the device to the power source or battery, and before lifting or
transporting the tool.
• Carrying the device with your finger on the switch or energizing the device while the
switch is on can lead to accidents.
• Never point the spiral shaft at the operating personnel or other persons.
• Wait until the device has come to a standstill before putting it down. The spiral shaft
may become caught and cause loss of control of the device.
• Only charge the device with the charger specified by the manufacturer. A charger
designed for one type of battery may cause a fire when used with another type of
battery.
