NOTICE
The device and fieldbus cable can be damaged by electrical voltage
‣
Switch off power supply before installing or connecting the device.
‣
It is recommended to ground the unit via one of the grounding screws.
‣
If the shield of the fieldbus cable is grounded at more than one point in systems that do not
have additional potential equalization, mains frequency equalizing currents can occur that
damage the cable or shield. In such cases the shielding of the fieldbus cable is to be
grounded on one side only, i.e. it must not be connected to the ground terminal of the
housing. The shield that is not connected should be insulated!
It is not advisable to loop the fieldbus via conventional cable glands. If you want to
replace just one measuring device at a later date, you will have to interrupt bus
communication.
