The additional handle (5) can be turned into any
arbitrary position.

To do this, loosen the screw (9).

Now turn the additional handle (5) into a comfort-
able and safe working position and tighten the
screw (9) again firmly.
Switching on/off (fig. 4)
Switching on: Press the operating switch (2).
Switching off: Release the operating switch (2). Con-
tinuous operation: Press the operating switch (2) and
lock with the locking switch (10). Stopping continuous
operation: Tap the operating switch (2).
10. Operating/working notes
Attention! For your safety, the machine may only
be held by the two handles (3 and 5, Fig. 1)!
This avoids the risk of an electric shock when chisel-
ling in the event contact is made with lines.
Always keep chisel tools sharp.
Attention:
• Only work with low pressure when chiselling.
• Too much pressure puts unnecessary strain on the
motor.
• Sharpen chisels in good time and replace if neces-
sary.
Dust/chip extraction
Dusts from materials such as paint containing lead,
some types of wood, minerals and metal can be harm-
ful to health. Touching or inhaling the dust can cause
allergic reactions and/or respiratory diseases in the
user or persons in the vicinity.
Certain dusts such as oak or beech dust are consid-
ered carcinogenic, especially in combination with
additives for wood treatment (chromate, wood preserv-
atives). Material containing asbestos may only be pro-
cessed by specialists.
• Make sure that the work area is well-ventilated.
• It is recommended to wear respirators with filter
class P2.
Observe the regulations for the materials to be pro-
cessed applicable in your country.

11. Electrical connection
The electrical motor installed is connected and
ready for operation. The connection complies with
the applicable VDE and DIN provisions.
The customer's mains connection as well as the
extension cable used must also comply with these
regulations.
Damaged electrical connection cable
The insulation on electrical connection cables is of-
ten damaged.
This may have the following causes:
• Pressure points, where connection cables are
passed through windows or doors.
• Kinks where the connection cable has been improp-
erly fastened or routed.
• Places where the connection cables have been cut
due to being driven over.
• Insulation damage due to being ripped out of the
wall outlet.
• Cracks due to the insulation ageing.
Such damaged electrical connection cables must not
be used and are life-threatening due to the insulation
damage.
Check the electrical connection cables for damage
regularly. Ensure that the connection cables are dis-
connected from electrical power when checking for
damage.
Electrical connection cables must comply with the ap-
plicable VDE and DIN provisions. Only use connection
cables with the marking H 07 RN-F.
The printing of the type designation on the connection
cable is mandatory.
AC motor
• The mains voltage must be 230 V~ / 50 Hz.
• Extension leads up to 25 m long must have a
cross-section of 1.5 mm
Mains power connection and extension leads must be
3-core = P + N + SL. - (1/N/PE).
The mains power connection must be protected with
a max. 16 A fuse.
• The product fulfils the requirements of EN 61000-
3-11 and is subject to special connection require-
ments. This means that use at any freely selectable
connection points is not permitted.
• The product can cause temporary voltage fluctua-
tions in unfavourable mains conditions.
