The safety precautions contained herein reduce the risk of burns, injury and even death if strictly observed. Keep
this manual in a safe place for future reference, the original product packaging and proof of purchase. If possible,
pass these instructions on to the next owner of the product. Always observe basic safety precautions and accident
prevention regulations when using the appliance. We do not accept any liability for non-compliance with these in-
structions by customers.
Before using this product read the basic safety precautions carefully, failure to follow these instructions may
affect or damage the appliance and other objects and may result in personal injury:
• Attention: This is not a barbecue. Do not use for cooking food.
• Important: Retain these instructions for future reference. Unwrap all packing materials and place the com-
ponents on top of the carton or on a clean floor to prevent scratching. Keep small parts out of the reach of
children.
• Choose carefully where the heater is to be placed. Always place it on firm, level ground. Small amounts of burnt
pellets and/or ashes may sometimes fall from the heater, so always place it where there is no danger of fire. If in
doubt, place it on a patio slab or similar.
• The heater gets very hot. Make sure it is always in a safe place. Remember that even after it is switched off,
it will remain hot for at least half an hour. Consider the safety of anyone who will be nearby and pay close
attention to small children and pets.
• This device uses a heat-resistant borosilicate glass tube. Care must be taken to ensure that it is not knocked,
especially when disassembling, cleaning and reassembling. Normal handling will not cause problems, but
impact with any hard surface may cause breakage.
• This appliance is not designed for indoor use, only for outdoor use.
• Always handle all components of the appliance with care to avoid possible injury.
• Store indoors if hail is likely to fall. Avoid use when heavy rain is likely.
• Avoid spraying the appliance with a hose or similar.
• In normal winds, the unit is stable, but if strong winds are expected, store it indoors to prevent it from tipping over.
• Always have a fire extinguisher at hand when using flame-producing appliances.
• Do not touch the metal parts of the heater until they have cooled down completely to avoid burns. Knobs will be
hot and are unsafe to touch during use unless you are wearing protective equipment (grips, gloves, hot pad, etc.).
• Never handle burning fuel after lighting.
• Make sure that the pellets have burnt out completely before removing the ash.
• Store only when the heater is completely switched off and cool.
• When assembling the appliance, use all and only the components supplied.
• Do not use alcohol, petrol or similar liquids to light or relight the fire. Use only lighters.
• Keep the heater away from heat-sensitive materials and objects.
• After use, turn the heater off and allow it to cool down. Store it only when it is completely cool and switched off.
• To avoid material damage, always place the appliance on a heat-resistant surface, as it becomes very hot
during operation.
• This appliance is not suitable for use on wooden floors, under gazebos, pergolas or patio covers.
• To avoid injury, be aware that the supporting surface directly under this appliance will become very hot dur-
ing operation and will remain very hot for some time afterwards, keep feet, other extremities and all goods/
objects well away from this area.
