5. Place the filling tray on top of the worm housing and fix it in position. Place the

OPERATION
NOTES
• Do not process spoiled food or food that has been stored for too long. Meat
in particular should only be used very fresh and processed immediately before
eating or cooking. Chopped meat can only be kept for a short time, even in
the fridge.
• For reasons of hygiene, rinse all attachments with hot water before processing
food.
• Do not process pieces that are too hard, fibrous or too large (e.g. bones,
cartilage, thick tendons, hard seeds, nuts, woody stems, hard shells, etc.).
Cook hard vegetables until soft before processing (example: carrots). Be sure
to remove all inedible parts before processing.
• If possible, add onions, herbs and finely ground spices during the initial processing
in the mincer. This will ensure better mixing. Hard spices (e.g. pepper, nutmeg
and others) must be ground in a mill beforehand. Onions for mince should be
sautéed until translucent before processing. This makes them more aromatic
and easier to digest.
• For mincing meat, remove bones, pieces of gristle, sinews and fat and cut the
meat into pieces of approximately 2 cm x 2 cm x 6 cm. Try not to mince tendon
muscles. If you are using frozen meat, let it thaw before mincing.
• For stuffing sausages, place the sausage skin in lukewarm water for 10 minutes
to 1 hour before starting the operation.
