8. Assembly
WARNING
Danger of injury! Disconnect the mains plug on the
scroll saw before all assembly work.
8.1 Fitting / changing the saw blade (fig. 1, 8-11)
WARNING
To avoid injuries due to unintentional start up: Be-
fore removing or replacing the saw blade, always
press "0" and remove the mains plug from the
socket.
8.1.1 Removing/inserting the table inlay
1.
Loosen the star grip screw (3).
2.
Set the saw blade guard (5) all the way up to the
top position.
3.
Reach under the saw table (6) and press the table
inlay (26) upwards.
4.
It is now possible to remove the table inlay (26).
Pay attention to the position of the sawing gap when
inserting the table inlay (26). The table inlay (26) must
be inserted as shown in Fig. 8. Otherwise the machine
can be damaged during mitre cuts.
8.1.2 Removing the saw blade with pins
1.
To remove the saw blade (22), remove the table
inlay (26) upwards. (see 8.1.1)
2.
First, release the tension by flipping the tension le-
ver (11) upwards. Continue reducing the tension by
turning counterclockwise as required.
3.
Hold the sawblade firmly and press the arm (12)
down slightly (see Fig. 9).
4.
Remove the saw blade from the top and bottom
saw blade holder (27/30).
8.1.3 Inserting the saw blade with pins
The teeth of the saw blade must always point down-
wards.
1.
Insert one end of the saw blade (22) through the
drilled hole in the table. Insert the pins of the saw
blade (22) into the corresponding recesses of the
top and bottom saw blade holder (27/30).
2.
First, insert the saw blade (22) into the bottom saw
blade holder (30).

3.
Press the support (12) down lightly (see fig. 9). In-
sert the saw blade (22) into the upper saw blade
holder (27).
4.
Check the position of the saw blade pins in the saw
blade holders (27/30).
5.
Tension the saw blade (22) with the tightening le-
ver (11) by pressing down on it again. Check the
tensioning of the saw blade (22). If the tension is
too low, you can increase it by turning it clockwise.
Before doing this, release the tightening lever (11)
again.
6.
Re-insert the table inlay (26). (see 8.1.1)
8.1.4 Removing the saw blade without pins
(optional) (fig. 1, 18, 19, 20)
1.
To remove the saw blade, remove the table inlay
(26) upwards.
2.
First, release the tension by flipping the tension
lever (11) upwards. If necessary, the tension can
be further reduced by turning the tightening lever
(11) counterclockwise.
3.
Press the arm (12) down lightly (see fig. 9, 20).
4.
Remove the saw blade by pulling it forward out
of the holders and through the access hole in the
table.
8.1.5 Inserting the saw blade without pins
(optional) (fig. 18, 19, 20)
The teeth of the saw blade must always point down-
wards.
1.
For saw blades without pins, use the assembly de-
vice (28) and the saw blade holder (29).
2.
Insert the saw blade holder (29) into the recesses
of the machine housing.
3.
Slide the saw blade in the opening of the saw
blade holder (29) and firmly tighten the two Allen
screws. Make sure that the saw blade is clamped
in the centre.
4.
Guide the saw blade with the two adapters into the
lower holder, the other end into the upper holder.
5.
Push the upper arm of the saw down a little (fig.
20, M).
6.
Tension the saw blade (22) with the tightening le-
ver (11) by pressing down on it again. Check the
tensioning of the saw blade (22). If the tension is
too low, you can increase it by turning it clockwise.
Before doing this, release the tightening lever (11)
again.
7.
Re-insert the table inlay (26). (see 8.1.1)
