3.3 Switching on the machine
WARNING
Risk of injury due to improper han-
dling of the machine
Make sure you are standing firmly.

Never touch the saw chain when the
machine is running.
Operate the machine only with chain
u
protector.
Secure the tube and waste piece well
u
when cutting and place on a secure
base.
Check the tensioning belt for damage
u
before starting work and replace if nec-
essary.
Do not use the machine in the event of
u
humidity, moisture or rain.
Only operate the machine with sharp
u
and correctly tensioned saw chain.
Always set the speed controller to the
u
highest level (12).
To ensure the operator's safety, the se-
quence of the switching-on procedure must
be heeded:
Align the guide carriage and required
u
rolling carriage on the tube to be pro-
cessed using the tensioning belt, see
Aligning the guide carriage and rolling
carriage

Place the machine on the guide rods.
u
ð Press button 2. Button 2 must always
be pressed for operation of the ma-
chine.
Hold the machine with one hand on the
u
handle and one hand on the hand control.
Press the on/off switch and snap it in. The
u
on/off switch must always be pressed for
operation of the machine.
Press the hand control and turn clockwise
u
up to the stop.
ð Press button 1.
ð The machine begins to run if button 1
and button 2 are pressed.
ð The machine switches off immediately if
the hand control is released.
