5 | OPERATION AND HANDLING OF THE MACHINE
5.7 | OPERATING THE HIGH-DUMP GRASS CATCHER
The movement of the grass catcher up and down and its opening/closing is controlled using two rocker
switches (fig. 1.2.1, position 7), located on the frame of the grass catcher.
The movement of the grass catcher up and down is only possible after starting up the motor of the
riding mower. The opening and closing of the grass catcher does not require the motor to be running,
it is functional after the main switch of the riding mower is turned to any position.
UP-DOWN switch:
Pressing and holding the switch will move the grass catcher up and down. Releasing the switch will
stop the movement of the grass catcher in any position on the rail frame.
The end positions of the grass catcher (top and bottom) are secured using limit stops, which
automatically stop the movement of the grass catcher even when the switch is pressed.
OPEN-CLOSE switch:
Pressing and holding down the switch will open and empty out the grass catcher in the direction away
from the rear plate. Releasing the switch will stop the grass catcher from opening in any position on
the moving face plate of the grass catcher (fig. 1.2.1, part 14).
Reaching end position of the grass catcher's face plate is indicated by a clicking noise.
Both movements of the grass catcher, that is vertical (lifting and lowering) and dumping of the grass
catcher (opening and closing), can be performed in any position independently of each other.
For more effective filling of the grass catcher, we recommend installing high-lift
blades on the mowing deck. Any authorised sales representative will provide you with
information.
