2.1.1 General safety instructions
! T he high-dump grass catcher can only be used on the designated SNAPPER riding mowers.
! R emove all potential defects before using.
! I t is not permitted to perform any technical modifications to the high-dump grass catcher without
the manufacturer's written consent. Unauthorised modifications may lead to hazardous work safety
conditions and void the warranty.
! P rior to starting work, always check that all protective elements, such as covers, are in their place
and securely fastened.
! T he maximum load on the grass catcher lifting mechanism is 60 kg.
! I t is strictly forbidden to lift people.
2.1.4 While operating the machine
! Adhere to all safety instructions in the user's manual for the riding mower to which the high- dump
grass catcher will be attached.
! A fter hitting a foreign object, immediately stop the riding mower and turn off the motor. Check the
riding mower and the grass catcher for damage and if necessary carry out necessary repairs or have
them done for you. Only then continue working.
! W hen working with the high-dump grass catcher, soil remains gradually build up inside and on the
surface of the protective covers of the high-dump grass catcher and the mowing deck. Therefore,
we recommend that these covers are cleaned immediately after finishing work.
! O nly perform maintenance or repairs on the high-dump grass catcher with the riding mower engine
turned off.
! I t is permitted to use the lifting mechanism up to an incline of 4°.
! I n order to leave the grass catcher in the raised position, it is necessary to mechanically secure the
grass catcher against it falling For this purpose there is a service rod located on the left side of the
fixed rails, which is inserted into the hole in the moving rails.
! R eversing with a raised grass catcher is only permitted at a low speed
! I t is forbidden for people to walk under a raised grass catcher.
! I t is forbidden to place hands into the area of the lifting mechanism and the winding mechanism
while the motor is running.
! T o prevent coming into contact with the grass catcher lifting mechanism, the user must have tight-
fitting clothing and hair must be tied up.
2.1.5 After finishing work with the machine
! A lways maintain the high-dump grass catcher clean and in good technical condition.
! R egularly inspect the fastening bolts, nuts, studs and cotter pins and ensure that they are properly
tightened or securely fitted.
! R egularly inspect all components and if necessary replace those that need to be replaced based on
the manufacturer's recommendations.
